Evaluating healthcare information technology providers: an ongoing
dilemma
24 June 2009
Healthcare informatics is inexorably and
irreversibly moving to become one of the fundamental pillars of
healthcare system reform. Choosing among the myriad providers however,
has been, and continues to pose, a dilemma, with far-reaching
consequences beyond the initial decision to adopt an enterprise-wide
healthcare information technology (HIT)
solution in the first place.
These HIT solution vendors can vary considerably in their approaches
and executions, which can translate into both planned and unplanned
consequences for the adopting institution.
Same questions, different answers
Answers to questions, relative to a given vendor’s HIT and associated
Clinical Information System, can demonstrate major differences
in impact on business-side, and clinical-side issues at your hospital/
healthcare system. These issues include financial returns, care quality
scores, workflow changes, compatibility concerns, and even major culture
shift within your organization.
Who are the clear leaders in HIT solutions?
You can win a MacBook by providing some answers
Glickman Research Associates in partnership with BJHC&IM is
conducting an online study to help HIT and Clinical
Information System vendors to better understand how senior management of
hospitals/ healthcare systems differentiate these suppliers.
Your participation in this very brief online survey is welcome and …
you may WIN A MACBOOK!
Who is invited to take part?
We are inviting only the highest level of hospital/healthcare system
