Sentinel system awarded by NPSA
Vantage Technologies’ Sentinel Local Risk Man-agement System has been
awarded fully updated National Reporting and Learning System (NRLS)
compliance by the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA), making it the
only fully NRLS-accredited risk management solution available to NHS
organisations.
The accreditation follows sign-offs on submissions from both
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals and mid-Yorkshire NHS Trusts. The solution
plays a vital role in helping trusts meet the mandatory reporting
regulations of the NRLS, which enables the NPSA to identify trends in
patient safety, reduce risk and set out priorities and best practice.
A web-based solution, and the first to enable mapping of the entire
NRLS dataset, Sentinel enables staff to log in and report patient safety
incidents on-site or remotely. This helps simplify the reporting
process, making it an integral part of working practice for all staff,
promoting a safety culture within the organisation.
