Information governance made simple
A new board game intended to help practice and pharmacy staff
understand information governance (IG) has been approved by the UK
Council for Health Informatics Professions (UKCHIP).
The IG Game, created by change-management and training consultancy
Focus Games, aims to make information governance more accessible when,
due to the complexity of official guidelines and requirements, many
organisations are failing to make the necessary changes.
“We are delighted that UKCHIP has recognised the IG Game”, says Focus
Director Andy Yeoman. “It’s not easy for busy NHS staff to relate
complex IG requirements to their daily working lives. The IG Game
translates these complex requirements into a simple and practical
toolkit. The game is fun, and the planning tools allow the practice or
organisation to create and implement realistic IG action plans.”
