Free tool to help cut waiting times
The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement has launched an
improved second version of the No Delays Achiever, a web-based tool
which aims to help NHS organisations achieve the government objective of
a maximum of 18 weeks from referral to treatment.
The new version comes as 13 local health authorities pledged to meet
the Government’s 18-week treatment target a year before the rest of the
NHS.
The No Delays Achiever is available free to all within the NHS,
allowing users to look at patient pathways within their area, assess
time taken between the stages of referral, diagnosis and treatment, and
identify where delays might be occurring.
Originally launched to the NHS in November 2006, the system currently
has 144 NHS organisations registered as users. The updated version
includes easier navigation and more detailed information on patient
journeys.
