Heart of England signs up for EuroKing Miracle

EuroKing Miracle’s third-generation maternity information system (MIS), E3, went live last month at The Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, and the first baby was recorded on the system at 8.14 am the same day.

An upgrade of EuroKing Miracle’s K2 system, E3 enables midwives to enter information at the point of care and provides clinicians with an easily accessible, single summary of a mother’s and baby’s obstetric care throughout the entire pregnancy.

The solution is accessed by over 300 users across the two major sites at Birmingham Heartlands and Solihull hospitals.

"The new E3 system is more user-friendly than the K2 product and, as a web-based system, it is a more familiar format. It works towards the needs of the Trust rather than us working around the sys-tem", said Consultant Mid-wife Sue Dennett. "We are able to tailor patient care and plan further ahead."

Maternity information systems supplier EuroKing is based in Addlestone, Surrey.
