Choose and Book upgrade
IT services company Atos Origin has announced its second major
upgrade to the Choose and Book system.
The upgrade includes the ability to redirect referrals to the most
appropriate consultant without needing to start afresh; facilities that
will allow referring clinicians to make a note of any special
appointment needs; and enhanced usability.
“Initial feedback from users has shown that this has already had
significant benefits and has boosted ease of use”, said Tom Denwood,
Choose and Book Programme Head at NHS Connecting for Health.
Paris-based Atos Origin delivered the national Choose and Book
application in July 2004 and has since delivered two major and 20 minor
upgrades.
