CfH appoints PC Coaching
NHS Connecting for Health (CfH) has appointed mobile training
provider PC Coaching as the sole provider of mobile training units (MTUs)
and trainers across England.
The two-year framework agreement, managed by CfH’s Education,
Training and Skills Development programme (ETD), will focus on helping
staff to understand and use the new systems being implemented under the
National Programme for IT (NPfIT).
PC Coaching says the project will address the shortage of training
facilities for end users across the NHS and will ensure that all staff
are prepared for when new systems are due to go live. The company will
provide fully equipped MTUs to NHS sites where new NPfIT systems are due
to be implemented. Equipped with PCs and a range of learning tools, the
units can accommodate up to 12 employees at a time and are capable of
connecting to the NHS network, N3.
“Mobile training units on NHS sites will help to minimise disruption
to frontline staff by providing training where it is needed, at the
right time and in harmony with local system implementation”, says
National ETD Director Dr Philip Candy.
The largest supplier of MTUs across Europe, Enfield-based PC Coaching
has trained over 10,000 NHS staff in its mobile training rooms in the
past five years.
