Ferrania system for North West Wales
North West Wales NHS Trust has become the first UK trust to sign up
to Ferrania’s new AiMS image management system. The Trust, which uses a
number of other Ferrania applications, intends to use the system not
only for training but for assessment purposes as well.
“The AiMS solution confers tremendous educational possibilities. We
are looking forward to exploiting the ability to establish and maintain
our own knowledge libraries from the Trust’s own resources and to have
site-configurable workflow for teaching sessions”, says the Trust’s Dr
Hugh Godfrey.
The AiMS system enables access to knowledgebases of relevant clinical
information wherever and whenever needed. According to Ferrania, the use
of the vast archive of images generated worldwide, and the ability to
transfer that knowledge through flexible and accessible elearning
modules, sets it apart from other systems. Knowledge libraries for both
reference and elearning are constantly expanding and cases can be
retrieved selectively within seconds, offering enormous opportunities
for medical professionals and students alike.
Bracknell-based imaging company Ferrania UK supplies AiMS as part of
its Ferrania’s LifeWeb PACS and RIS/PACS portfolio.
