New pre-operative assessment tool
Glasgow-based medical software firm Informatics CIS has created a new
software tool for pre-operative assessment that can cut patients’ time
in hospital and improve their care.
The tool, which will allow standard medical history forms to be
filled in online from home, uses the information so gleaned to diagnose
potential risks on the operating table automatically and to suggest
appropriate post-operative care.
“This not only means patients can spend less time in hospital, it
also allows highly skilled medical staff to prioritise their time and
their cases more effectively”, said Tom Hurrell, Informatics’ Business
Development Manager.
Gordon Maclennan, Business Development Director at Scottish
Enterprise Glasgow, who provided product development support for the
project, said: “Synopsis IQ brings real-time benefits both to patients
and medical staff and is an excellent example of the world-class
research and development going on in the city in this sector.”
Synopsis IQ is currently available to UK customers on a three-month,
no-obligation trial basis. Visit
