South Warwickshire cuts physiotherapy waiting times
South Warwickshire NHS Trust has reduced physiotherapy waiting times
from eight weeks to two weeks, following its implementation of
Leicester-based Ethitec’s Tiara9 electronic patient record system for
allied health professions.
Developed in collaboration with frontline clinicians, Tiara9
accurately reflects clinical workflow patterns. The appointment booking
module provides greater flexibility in patient choice by enabling
clinicians to access and update information in real time. For South
Warwickshire, this has resulted in improved information sharing across
its three sites and physiotherapy waiting times being reduced by 75%.
Since the new system went live, Tiara9 has been used to process over
36,000 appointments for physiotherapy outpatient services in Leamington,
Stratford and Warwick. It will now be rolled out to occupational therapy
and dietetics.
