Milton Keynes General ties up with WCI
Milton Keynes General NHS Trust has chosen healthcare systems
provider WCI to help integrate new and existing systems across the Trust
to meet go-live implementation schedules for the care records service
(CRS) project.
WCI, which based in Denmead, Hampshire, will deliver a robust and
maintainable solution that will eliminate errors, provide the Trust with
greater flexibility and a platform for process improvement.
The contract was won on the basis of WCI’s 18-year specialist knowledge
of healthcare systems, proven track record for timely and safe delivery
of high quality solutions at realistic costs. WCI is to provide a full
integration service utilising the Trust’s existing Microsoft BizTalk
integration engine with interfaces to existing systems and new local
service provider-chosen applications.
Jeff Jacklin, Head of ICT at Milton Keynes said, “The Trust is in the
process of moving to two new sys-tems — Cerner Millennium PAS and a new
pathology application — both of which have aggressive go-live target
dates for the CRS project. WCI demonstrated to us a proven ability to
deliver a very specialised service in a massive project without
compromising on deadlines.”
