Computer cart provides mobile access to medical records
Wirral-based Parity Medical has, jointly with the Northwest
Development Agency’s Motivating Merseyside Business to Innovate (MMBI)
Project, launched a new mobile wireless computer cart that can be used
in hospital wards, theatres and clinics, allowing clinicians safe and
secure access to patient records at the bedside, or elsewhere.
The cart, called Trojan II (pictured), combines a personal computer
with CD/DVD drive, a large-format screen with high brightness and
contrast levels and an infection-control keyboard, all designed to
customer specifications. The cart is easily manoeuvrable, ergonomically
adjustable, durable and robust, with long battery times.
The benefits are improved patient care; error reduction; streamlined
workflow; increased operational efficiency; lower administration costs;
and enhanced information security.
