Timesaver for mobile workers
A system enabling mobile workers to print out email messages sent to
their BlackBerry or PDA — regardless of where they are in the world —
has been launched by US firm Premiere Global Services.
The new offering, called PrintAnywhere, enables mobile workers to print
out emails directly from a wireless device. The user simply forwards an
email to the nearest fax where it is imaged complete with cover page and
any attachments.
PrintAnywhere will print any type of file to any fax machine in
seconds, without opening the attachment — potentially cutting days off
business procedures such as those needing authorisation or signature,
which might ordinarily have had to wait until the user was back in the
office or connected to a printer.
“One of the biggest frustrations for mobile workers, especially
owners of wireless email devices, is finding a way to view and/or print
urgent messages”, says Simon Bushell, General Manager at Premier Global
Services UK. “The ability to print emails and attachments on the spot
can reduce turnaround times and enhance mobile productivity
dramatically”.
Premier Global Services (formerly Xpedite) is headquartered in
Atlanta, Georgia. Its UK base is in central London.
