Scheduling technology alliance targets healthcare sector

According to Captor Group, the key to productivity is efficient staff. Now the workforce management solutions specialist has launched a dedicated solution for the healthcare sector.

The Oxon-based company has worked with IT specialist SAGA Consulting to develop a planning and scheduling tool that will help healthcare institutions automate staff activities — including time recording, attendance and absence — as well as their entire workforce management policy. In this way, the Healthcare Workforce Management solution can also help with account planning, service levels, employee satisfaction, resource planning and innovation needs.

An existing programme, Health Care Personnel Scheduling (HCPS), was the result of collaboration between Captor and SAGA to develop personnel scheduling products for specific markets.
In this next stage of development, the HCPS has been integrated with Captor’s Efficient platform to extend its planning functionality even further via the Efficient Planner Console.

The programme is based on the Microsoft.NET platform architecture and will be marketed throughout Europe by both Captor and SAGA.
“This is the first of a series of sector-specific workforce management solutions that Captor and SAGA will launch under our OEM alliance”, explains Etienne Schreurs, CEO of SAGA Consulting. “This alliance emphasises our understanding that a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution will not address the specific requirements of a sector. Each sector has its own requirements for workforce planning and optimisation, specific to that sector — legal requirements for working hours, qualification of personnel and available resources.”
