UCLH opts for IP communications at new hospital
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) has
selected Azzurri Communications to install a complete Mitel IP
communications system for its new, state-of-the-art site on the Euston
Road.
The Mitel 3300 Integrated Communications Platform will be combined with
more than 2,000 handsets across the hospital, and the Mitel 6510 Messaging
Server will provide extra resilience in its voicemail facility.
Mitel was selected for its reliability and scalability following an
evaluation of IP manufacturers. Phase one of the new hospital is scheduled
to open in the summer of 2005, with phase two following in 2008.
