Website management streamlined
Southampton City Primary Care Trust has redesigned both its public
website and intranet with content management technology from EIBS. The
simplicity of the new system allows non-technical staff to create and
maintain both sites, improving the quality and topicality of the content
and reducing the burden on IT departments.
The integrated asset manager facility allows website editors to upload,
store, share and retrieve an unlimited number of documents and multimedia
files. All requirements of the Freedom of Information Act, NHS website and
web accessibility guidelines are complied with.
“The next step for the Trust is to create a community of websites”,
said Sarah Reed, Southampton’s Website Editor. “The flexibility of the
solution means that partnering organisations such as local GPs, dentists
and opticians can create and maintain their own websites, each with a
distinct design and domain name.”
