Big savings from new number
NHS Grampian has partnered with telecoms supplier Opal to provide a new
0845 number for the general switchboard. Charged at the lo-call rate, it
will provide a more secure, resilient and flexible technical platform,
better able to cope with a great number of calls at once.
Grampian estimates that it will save up to £15,000 a year on its
telecommunications bill. Extensive advertising and a free message on the
old numbers will be used to inform the public of the change.
