Ferrania has launched a new dry-imager range and CR solutions to
complement its LifeInvision DR and LifeWeb RIS/PACS products.
The four LifeImager 6000 dry imagers are DICOM compliant and enabled,
compact, cost effective and easy to install. They start with the 6010,
with a print size of 14x7" and go up to the top-of-the-range 6050 with
an additional larger print size and colour, paper and transparency
capabilities.
The units all use a smartcard that stores set-up data and
departmental or user preferences. In the event of a serious malfunction,
this card can be removed and inserted into a replacement unit.
The company’s new LifeInvision CR and CR Plus systems are tabletop
units that can be installed either in the diagnostic room or in a more
conventional centralised formation with units serving several rooms. An
optional mobile cart makes the whole system fully portable. Trials were
successfully completed earlier this year at the Bryn Beryl Hospital in
North Wales, leading to the first European sale.
