Swedish company Sectra has signed a seven-year contract with Dr Gray’s
Hospital, Elgin, for an integrated radiology solution comprising PACS,
RIS and orthopaedic pre-operative planning. The order is valued at
approximately £900 000. “We believe Sectra to be a long-term partner
as they have an extensive experience in digital radiology”, said George
Simpson, Radiology Manager at the hospital. “Sectra provides a
well-proven, tightly integrated total solution for digital radiology and
we trust that the system gives us the possibility of enhancing the
efficiency of our radiology operations.”
The department will now be able to work in an entirely filmless
environment and the system will also support the projected move to a
fully paperless environment, when electronic requesting is introduced.
