Dulwich Medical Centre chooses Adastra for unscheduled-care system
11 February 2009
London-based Dulwich Medical Centre (DMC) have chosen the Adastra
unscheduled care system for their two GP-led health centres in Medway
and Swale, Kent. The centre uses the hub-and-spoke model and will be
open between 8am and 8pm, 365 days a year, offering scheduled and
unscheduled appointments to both registered and unregistered patients.
DMC recognised the ability of the Adastra system to help manage
patient care at the centres and to measure the clinical and operational
activity for the benefit of patients and PCTs alike. It considered the
Adastra system to offer significant benefits in helping safely manage
measure and integrate patient care.
Sabina Grzeda, a manager for DMC commented, "Making sure that
patients are routed in the most efficient, clinically appropriate way is
important to them and us. We want the patient experience at these
centres to be as good as possible and we also need to be able to measure
our activity. We recognised that the Adastra system would enable us to
do both these things and more and are looking forward to
providing additional and complimentary primary medical services to the
people of Medway and Swale."
Adastra's Medical Director, Dr Alex Yeates said, "Adastra is
naturally delighted to be working with DMC in their two GP-led health
centres and will be drawing on our long-standing experience of
unscheduled care to help deliver significant benefits to patient and
provider alike. It's fantastic that DMC have chosen Adastra, following
so closely on the heels of our successful deployment in the Putnoe
GP-led Health
Centre opened by Lord Darzi last month".
