Bosch launches wristwatch social alarm
27 March 2008
Bosch Security Systems has launched a new social alarm peripheral in
the form of a wristwatch, which has a wireless transmitter in the clock
case and a discreet alarm button in case of an emergency.
The
CareWatch (see photo on right) offers an alternative to the wrist
transmitters and can be used in conjunction with the New Bosch HTS52
CarePhone as a social alarm solution. It is also designed to work as
part of the Bosch NurseCall system.
With the combination of the transmitter and the alarm button, the
CareWatch is aimed at people being cared for, in retirement and care
homes, in sheltered accommodation facilities and hospitals or in their
own home.
The watch is watertight and meets the CE Standard as well as the
European Standard (EN50134-2) for social alarm systems. Periodic
automatic wireless test notifications ensure maximum security.
The Carewatch can be worn as a wristwatch with leather strap, which
is easily replaceable, or as a medallion with an adjustable cord. The
radio module's battery can be easily replaced by the operator.
