Nuffield Hospital Group selects Datix for risk management
27 March 2008
Nuffield Hospital Group has chosen Datix software to support group governance and risk
management processes. The Group includes over 31 hospitals, plus mobile diagnostics
units, health and fitness (having just acquired Cannons Health &
Fitness) and standalone decontamination centres.
To improve reporting across the whole Group, Nuffield opted for a
solution comprising a number of DATIX modules, including Incident
Reporting, Risk Register, Complaints Handling and Safety Alerts.
Su Barnett, General Manager Group Governance for Nuffield Hospital
Group, said, “The old stand-alone databases
were not fulfilling our group-wide needs, and retrieving any information
for continuous improvement was very time consuming and costly.”
“Today, with DATIX, we have a modern, responsive patient safety and
risk management system that is integrated throughout the entire Group.
It has fundamentally changed the way we work and brought about
across-the-board improvements in efficiency and standards.”
Daniel Hazan, General Manager of DATIX, said: “It was important for
us to demonstrate to Nuffield that we could provide a leading solution
to the Group that would meet its requirements exactly. We are delighted
to welcome such a prestigious name within the independent healthcare
sector to our growing list of customers.”
