St James's Hospital speech-enables radiology reporting

St James's Hospital, Dublin has transformed radiology reporting by
using Dictaphone PowerScribe's speech recognition and automated
workflow. In its first week of use the radiology department eliminated
the backlog of patient reports.
Jeff Boulton, Sales Director Healthcare at Nuance said, "PowerScribe
unifies the radiology information system, picture archiving and
communications system and electronic ordering processes, and includes
advanced features that further reduce the time needed to complete a
patient report."
The Dictaphone PowerScribe system at St James is used by a team of
more than 15 radiologists, and has been integrated with a Cerner
radiology information system that was already in use at the hospital.
