Suppliers voice concerns over Newcastle procurement
Suppliers involved in independent procurements by Newcastle NHS
Foundation Trust for a maternity system and a hospital
patient-administration system (PAS) are concerned that the Trust may
come under acute pressure from NHS Connecting for Health (CfH) to
abandon them at a late stage and revert to National Programme solutions,
an industry source has informed bjhc&im.
The suppliers’ concern follows the decision by Bradford Teaching
Hospitals Trust in October to abandon its public procurement and revert
to an official National Programme solution in a deal that was
underwritten by CfH.
