Doctors’ disaffection with the NPfIT grows again
Half of all doctors say they will not upload medical records to the
NHS Care Records Service (CRS) unless they get their patients’ explicit
consent. Nearly 80% of GPs and 55% of other doctors think the CRS will
weaken patient-record confidentiality
This is the surprise finding of the latest survey by independent firm
Medix analysing doctors’ attitutes to the National Programme for IT (NPfIT).
