Weigh privacy against intrusion, says ICO

 

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has ruled that Worcestershire County Council was right to refuse the disclosure of a woman’s personal medical information to her child, who had requested it by means of the Freedom of Information Act.

The request related to the treatment and care given by the Council to the requestor’s mother.
