Public Accounts Committee to consider the NPfIT

England’s Director General of NHS IT, Richard Granger, and John Bacon, a Department of Health director who until April this year was overall senior responsible officer for the National Programme for IT, are expected to appear before the powerful House of Commons Public Accounts Committee (PAC) later this month, to answer MPs’ questions about the £6.2bn NPfIT.

Official publication of the NAO report is scheduled for “early summer”, about a year later than originally planned.

The meeting is currently scheduled for 26 June. See the PAC schedule of meetings to confirm the date.
