US doctors against health-IT law

 
The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons has come out in opposition to the Health Information Technology Promotion Act, which establishes the USA’s equivalent of England’s proposed Care Records Service.

It called for restraint because patients would have no meaningful control over who had access to their identifiable medical records and virtually no control over who can sneak-a-peek. Sound familiar?
