last month of extensive market research by the Mobile Data Association (MDA)
show that savings of time and money are the benefits most valued by
healthcare and socialcare professionals from using mobile phones.
Of all the sectors interviewed, healthcare and socialcare workers
were found to be one of the heaviest users. Clinics
and practices are sending and receiving multiple messages on a daily
basis. Message content usually relates to test-results reports,
appointment reminders or requests for patients to make contact.
