GPASS still unpopular in Scotland

 
GPASS, the general practice administration system for Scotland, distributed free to all GPs, appears to be continuing its troubled life.

The system was developed with taxpayers’ money and is used by nearly 900 practices in Scotland. But it has never been popular (see bjhc&im June 2004), and last month the British Medical Association and the Royal College of General Practitioners wrote to Scottish Health Minister, Andy Kerr, claiming that doctors have lost confidence in GPASS and demanding urgent action.
