abstract
This article aims to provide an understanding of the Integrated Care
Network (ICN) and the unique role it plays in providing a link between
frontline organisations such as the NHS and Social Services departments. The
article examines its background and role, its objectives and the benefits of
integration, the organisations it reaches, the range of issues it covers and
the different types of partnerships it encourages. The article will also
examine the initiatives of the ICN, its products, events and publications
and successes.
